Hand Painted Ceramic Tile

The hand painted ceramic tile design is taken from the Shah mosque in Isfahan city which was built by Shah Abbas Safavid in the 16th century. It is used for both indoor and outdoor design and is made from clay through controlled heat processes in the kiln at temperatures of 850 degrees and then the turquoise glaze is added on top at temperatures of 950 degrees. It is painted by hand with natural colors that are mainly turquoise and Persian blue.
